Description

Acoustic Pedestal Adhesive is a two-component, solvent free, polyurethane, sound and vibration damping, adhesive system specially formulated for use with access flooring
pedestals. When cured, Uretech AA2 has excellent adhesion to concrete, metal and other surfaces likely to be found in the access flooring industry.  This product has been developed to meet the exacting industrial standards demanded of the construction industry. It is flexible and does not foam excessively during application giving a more solid
feel than products that need to foam in order to gap-fill. The material is specially formulated to provide a sound and vibration damping effect by forming a viscoelastic layer
between the pedestal and substrate. Uretech AA2 provides an excellent reduction of foot traffic and other acoustical noise.
Uretech AA2 can be used on substrates between -5°C and 35°C but should not be applied to wet or frosty surfaces. Full cure may take up to one week in cold temperatures.

Coverage

A 6.5 kg pack will bond between 80 and 100 pedestals depending upon the quality of the subfloor.

Substrate Preparation

All surfaces should be free of contamination by dust, grease, oils or release agents. Untreated concrete should be mature and free from excessive dust. When bonding to old primed or painted concrete, check the adhesion of such a coating to concrete, ensure it is sufficient for further bonding of pedestals.

Application

Uretech AA2 can be mixed by using a drill stirrer in approximately 6.5kg ‘kits’ then being applied to the base of the pedestal using a serrated spreader or trowel. Mixing

should take place by stirring of the ‘B’ component into the ’A’ component and continuing to stir until mixed. Full mixing should take no more than 120 seconds with the

correct equipment. Contact Enviroflor Ltd for information concerning the correct type of mixing equipment. The material remains in a mobile, liquid form for

approximately 4-5 hours, after which the material sets into a soft solid, getting progressively harder over a period of a few days.
